EASY AND SIMPLE ROCKY ROAD STITCH CROCHET SPREAD

Hello everybody!  Are you into crocheting?  Easy, Intermediate, or Experienced...I have been showing you some techniques in Tunisian Stitch lately...which is a bit difficult for some of us but if you are familiar with all the stitches, Tunisian is also an easy stitch to learn.  What I have here for you is an easy stitch to start with, a project you may want as a baby crib spread, or just a blanket spread to cover your lap or legs for the winter time while watching TV....This is called "ROCKY ROAD STITCH CROCHET"......** PLEASE CLICK TO THE PATTERN FOR LARGER IMAGE.
ROCKY ROAD
Skill Level:  Easy
Ch a multiple of 4 plus 3

FOUNDATION ROW:  1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, *[1 sc, ch 2, 2 dc] in next ch, skip next 2 ch, sc in next ch, repeat from *across to within last ch, 1 sc in last ch, turn.

ROW 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in first s, *[ch 2, 2 dc] in next sc, skip next (2 dc, ch 2), 1 sc in next sc, repeat from *across, sc in last sc, turn.

REPEAT ROW 1 for pattern.
