PJ's and a matching set of top and bottom for my granddaughter, Lilah

These were my handsewn for my granddaughter Lilah who lives in Toronto, Canada.  The pj's that I made for her was a remnant/scrap flannel fabric which I found in a clearance bin, same with the top and bottom set, a cotton fabric.  The flannel pj's was $3 which was almost a yard.  The cotton fabric was $3.75 which is a yard.  I saved a lot of money by going thru the clearance bin at Hancock Fabrics and utilized these fabric by making into a useful outfit for my granddaughter.  Instead of buying them at Wal-mart or any children's store...

Pillow Cushions given as gift

My mother-in-law tends to buy pillow cushions as she loves colourful and soft cushions.  So, I surprised her on Christmas day and made her several cushions where she can put them on her sofa and also change them when the season is over.  These were samples that I made for her which I think an excellent for winter season and also made her for summer.  Most of these pillow cushions has an opening in the back, some has buttons some has no buttons.  I made here 3 red and black fabric and 1 chevron design fabric as I ran out of chevron fabrics.

Dinosaur Ragworks *frayed seams spread*

Here is one of my sewing projects given as a gift to a boy, a "dinosaur spread".  Made this at the same time with the turtle spread, you have to have patience to make them.....but easy to sew.

Hello Everyone!

You all probably wondering what I have been up to since the last time I posted since November...well, first off I would like to greet you all Happy New Year and wishfully that your Christmas was merry and wonderful celebration with your family, friends and relatives.  I for one had a wonderful Christmas with my husband's family and his relatives.  As you know I am from Canada and my family lives in Toronto, Canada. Christmas day here in our neck of the woods was a pleasant day but after Christmas the weather had changed dramatically.  It has been freezing cold and almost every day we had a windchill factor....January is the coldest month of the year as we all know!

I had been sewing projects since before Christmas and these projects were given as Christmas gifts to families.  What I have here were ragworks (frayed seams), a turtle design frayed seams spread for a 2-8 year old girls where she can use it while napping, place on a hardwood floor, or even put it on top of a bed by using it as a cover......

Quilted Baby Bedspread 50X60

Last week I completed this quilted baby bedspread, a log cabin block style.  It was quite tedious as I cut up a 1 1/2 inch and 2 inches of fabrics.  I ran out of fabrics and decided to use some of my green fat squares fabrics that were bought on sale from Hancock Fabrics for $.99.  However, the outcome is excellent.  Backing was made of broadcloth green fabric.  Showing the overall and completed quilted bedspread.

This baby quilted blanket is 30X30 in size.  I call this squared it quilted baby blanket.  A muslin fabric made for backing.

Cosmetic Bags and Pouches

These are the samples I made for your cosmetics and personal care toiletries.  Made several of them, some of them were made in PUL fabric and fabrics or material.  Traveling is one of my weaknesses, I would really like to be organized when I fly, putting away your cosmetics in your luggage is a tedious job.  So what I do is to put them in one container then carry with me a "caddy" where I can hang it up in the bathroom for convenience and easy to reach.

Samples of my cosmetic bags and pouches.

The above cosmetic bag is larger where you can put everything from cosmetics to cosmetic brushes and personal care/toiletries. It is made of canvas fabric and lined with linen fabric with pockets inside.

These were smaller cosmetic bags where you can put cosmetics only.  Made of PUL fabric, lined with nylon fabric.
This bag is for your shoes, instead of cluttering inside your luggage, you can place them all in one bag like this one.  Sandals and shoes can be put here, at least 3 pairs to 4 pairs of shoes..Made of PUL fabric lined with nylon fabric.
