Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Just baked a "cinnamon raisin bread" rather than buying this at the store, it cost at least $3.49 or $3.99 a loaf at the store.  Quick and easy to make and prepare.  This yeast batter bread is made of cinnamon and raisins, it's tender, and perfect for breakfast or snacks.

CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD
Preparation Time:  25 minutes
Cook Time: 35 to 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 pkgs active dry yeast
1-1/2 cup warm milk
2 eggs
6 tbsp unsalted melted butter
4-1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsps. cinnamon
1-1/2 cups raisins

PREPARATION:
Grease 2 bread pans, set aside.  In large bowl, combine brown sugar and milk until dissolved.  Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and let it stand for 5 minutes.  Add eggs and beat well, then beat 6 tablespoons of melted butter.  Stir flour, salt, and cinnamon into the mixture.  Mix in raisins and spread batter into prepared bread pans.  Brush top with 2 tbsp. melted butter.  Cover and let rise until double about 30 to 45 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Bake bread for 30 - 35 minutes until golden brown.  Let it cool, serve hot with coffee or tea.....Enjoy!
