Handmade Jewelries (necklaces and a bracelet)

I am back with my other passion, making handmade jewelries.  This year am planning to travel in South America in June.  I have been thinking of what kind of jewelries that will go with the outfits I will be taking with me.  They must be colourful! ....so I made some handmade jewelries for myself to wear them while travelling....very economical way...why buy them when I can make jewelries for myself?  Here were samples of necklaces (chocker type 18 inch in size), also have a matching necklace and a bracelet.

PJ's and a matching set of top and bottom for my granddaughter, Lilah

These were my handsewn for my granddaughter Lilah who lives in Toronto, Canada.  The pj's that I made for her was a remnant/scrap flannel fabric which I found in a clearance bin, same with the top and bottom set, a cotton fabric.  The flannel pj's was $3 which was almost a yard.  The cotton fabric was $3.75 which is a yard.  I saved a lot of money by going thru the clearance bin at Hancock Fabrics and utilized these fabric by making into a useful outfit for my granddaughter.  Instead of buying them at Wal-mart or any children's store...

Pillow Cushions given as gift

My mother-in-law tends to buy pillow cushions as she loves colourful and soft cushions.  So, I surprised her on Christmas day and made her several cushions where she can put them on her sofa and also change them when the season is over.  These were samples that I made for her which I think an excellent for winter season and also made her for summer.  Most of these pillow cushions has an opening in the back, some has buttons some has no buttons.  I made here 3 red and black fabric and 1 chevron design fabric as I ran out of chevron fabrics.

Dinosaur Ragworks *frayed seams spread*

Here is one of my sewing projects given as a gift to a boy, a "dinosaur spread".  Made this at the same time with the turtle spread, you have to have patience to make them.....but easy to sew.

Hello Everyone!

You all probably wondering what I have been up to since the last time I posted since November...well, first off I would like to greet you all Happy New Year and wishfully that your Christmas was merry and wonderful celebration with your family, friends and relatives.  I for one had a wonderful Christmas with my husband's family and his relatives.  As you know I am from Canada and my family lives in Toronto, Canada. Christmas day here in our neck of the woods was a pleasant day but after Christmas the weather had changed dramatically.  It has been freezing cold and almost every day we had a windchill factor....January is the coldest month of the year as we all know!

I had been sewing projects since before Christmas and these projects were given as Christmas gifts to families.  What I have here were ragworks (frayed seams), a turtle design frayed seams spread for a 2-8 year old girls where she can use it while napping, place on a hardwood floor, or even put it on top of a bed by using it as a cover......
